A special adhesive is used for gluing silicone products in a closed loop (butt-bonding of cords or seals of complex cross-section). It is applied to a section of a dry, non-greasy surface. If it is necessary to improve the adhesion characteristics, an adhesion primer is used.
The surfaces to be bonded are joined together and held in this position until the required functional strength is achieved. The adhesive cures with air moisture at room temperature. The time of surface film formation is about 90 minutes. Complete drying of the adhesive takes 72 hours. Optimal application conditions are determined by the customer.
Solvent-resistant fluorosilicon one-component adhesive-sealant
Sealer DOWSIL 730 FS – it is a ready-to-use, non-draining, solvent-free fluorosilicon rubber paste that reacts with moisture from the air to form a strong, solid rubber. It is a liquid-resistant material that is ideal for use in many applications where resistance to fumes, splashes, and sometimes when completely submerged in fuels, oils, and solvents is required.
Sealer DOWSIL 730 FS it has good resistance to weather conditions, vibrations, humidity, ozone and extreme temperatures. It retains its elasticity over a wide temperature range.
Sealer DOWSIL 730 FS it can be applied on the ceiling or vertical surfaces without fear that it will drain, slide or peel off.

All surfaces must be clean and dry. Degrease and wash off any dirt that may affect adhesion with suitable solvents: isopropyl alcohol, acetone, or methyl ethyl ketone.
Non-priming adhesion can be obtained on many substrates, such as glass, metals, and many types of conventional industrial plastics. Substrates that are usually difficult to get good adhesion to include PTFE (Teflon), polyethylene, polypropylene, and similar materials. For maximum adhesion, it is recommended to use a primer Dow Corning® 1200 OS Primer. After cleaning with a solvent, a thin layer of primer is applied Dow Corning Apply OS Primer by dipping, brushing or spraying. Allow the primer to dry for 15-90 minutes at room temperature and a relative humidity of 50% or higher.
Apply the sealant DOWSIL 730 FS on one of the prepared surfaces,
then quickly cover it with another base designed for gluing.
When exposed to moisture, the newly applied material forms a primary film after about 12 minutes at room temperature and 50% relative humidity. Any manipulations with the tools must be completed before this film is formed. The surface is easily treated with a spatula. The adhesive / sealant will lose its stickiness in about 14 minutes.
After the primary film is formed, curing continues from the surface inwards. After 24 hours (at room temperature and 50% relative humidity), the sealant is applied DOWSIL 730 FS it will cure to a depth (from the surface inwards) of approximately 3 mm. Very deep areas, especially with limited access to atmospheric moisture, will take longer to fully cure. The higher the humidity, the less time it will take to polymerize the sealant.
Before moving and packing the glued parts, the user is advised to wait a long enough time to be more confident that this will not affect the integrity of the bonding seam. This will depend on many factors and must be determined by the user on a case-by-case basis.
Sealer DOWSIL 730 FS releases a small amount of acetic acid during the curing process. This can lead to corrosion on some metal parts or substrates, especially in direct contact or when curing takes place in a completely enclosed space, which will not allow the release of by-products of curing.
When stored at temperatures up to 32°C in the original unopened packaging sealer DOWSIL 730 FS it has a shelf life of 18 months from the date of production. Since the sealant DOWSIL 730 FS cures due to interaction with moisture from the air, keep the container tightly closed while the product is not in use. During storage, a crust of previously used material may form on the tip of the tube or the edges of the cartridge. It is easy to remove and does not affect the remaining contents of the package.
This product has not been tested in any way for suitability for use in pharmaceuticals and medicine.

Surfaces must be clean, dry, dust-free, free of grease, and free of substances that may impair the adhesion of the sealant.
If it is necessary to improve the adhesion characteristics, an adhesion primer is used. On non-porous surfaces, the primer is applied with a swab or with a lint-free cloth, in a uniform thin layer. For porous surfaces, use a soft brush. If the primer is highly absorbed, it is possible to apply a second coat after the first one has dried.
It is necessary to take into account possible working deformations and loads. Usually, the width is 2 times the thickness.
UNICIL A3B it has high adhesion to most materials without pre-priming. Preliminary testing is recommended to optimize the application.
UNICIL A3B it has a guaranteed shelf life at temperatures from +5 to +25° C in its original packaging for 12 months. The shelf life is indicated for each batch of the product on the label.
Storage for longer than the specified period does not indicate that the product is unsuitable. However, in this case, before using the product, it is necessary to conduct tests for compliance with the tested characteristics.
During the vulcanization of UNISYL A3B, acetic acid vapors are released. These fumes should not be inhaled for a long time or at high concentrations. The work area should be well ventilated. It is necessary to avoid contact of uncured silicone adhesive-sealant with the eyes and mucous tissues, which can lead to their irritation. If this happens, rinse the affected area with plenty of water.
